Investigation Platform

The investigation platform is a comprehensive collaboration tool designed to efficiently manage various types of cases with proper governance and compliance to local standards. The investigation platform facilitates investigations in areas such as cybercrime, fraud, and other criminal activities. The system incorporates six main components: the public Portal, the Case Investigation Portal, the Data Ingestion Platform, Enhanced Data Visibility and Access Control, Workflow configurator, Dashboards with Embedded Analytics and Real-Time Monitoring. This integrated system enables seamless data collection from multiple sources, both online and offline, ensuring secure and traceable documentation. Advanced features support investigators by visualizing data effectively and identifying critical insights swiftly, thereby enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of case management and investigative processes

Public Portal

The Public Portal provides a user-friendly interface for citizens to register, report cases, view case statuses, and manage their preferences. Key features include secure authentication via Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), case search functionality, and the ability to seek information from analysts or providers. This portal will streamline public interaction with the system, enhancing transparency and accessibility.

Data Ingestion Platform
 

​The Data Ingestion Platform integrates third-party analysis tools to handle the enormous amounts of data generated during investigations. This platform will enable the system to push and pull abstracts of evidence and analysis summaries, ensuring that only relevant and concise information is shared within the investigation platform.

Workflow Configurator
 

The investigation platform incorporates a rule-based workflow mechanism to automate and streamline the processing of cases. This configurator will allow the definition of workflows based on predefined rules and criteria, ensuring efficient and consistent case handling. The rule-based system will help assign tasks, set priorities, and manage notifications according to the specifics of each case type and agency requirements.

Investigation Portal

The Investigation Portal supports detailed reporting and initiation of cases, capturing comprehensive information for various incidents. Features include the generation of analysis tasks, case assignments and prioritizations, notifications, and the ability to build action plans and manage assets. The portal will also facilitate case analysis management, including review, approval, severity level determination, and the documentation of resolution timelines and action plans. Additionally, it supports case correlation management, enabling searches by various criteria and the decomposition of cases into sub-cases/linking/related incidents and cases.

Enhanced Data Visibility and Access Control

Establish robust access control mechanisms to manage data visibility based on user roles and responsibilities. The objective is to ensure that sensitive information is accessible only to authorized personnel, enhancing security and accountability while preventing unauthorized access.

Dashboards with Embedded Analytics and Real-Time Monitoring

The investigation platform includes dashboards that provide real-time insights into case status, progress, and key performance indicators for the organisation. These dashboards integrate with analytics tools to visualize data trends and metrics, facilitating informed decision-making. Additionally, the system will enable the embedding of external analytics and real-time social media mentions related to ongoing cases, enhancing situational awareness and proactive management.
